55 days before the opening of the 2009 LIEBHERR European Championships there was the draw of the team events in all three divisions. It took place in the town hall of the city of Stuttgart. Mayor Dr. Susanne Eisenmann (photo with referee Michael Zwipp) drew attractive opponents for the German teams in the preliminaries: In Group A of the Men's Championships Division Timo Boll and his team mates will meet France, Denmark und Spain. Germany's women's team plays in Group A, too, and will face the reigning champion, the Netherlands, Italy and Turkey.
The team events will last from September 13th to 16th. The singles' and doubles draws will take place during the first days of the LIEBHERR Europeans.
